Indian summers are hot and dry. This is the time to need a delicious homemade drink that can help you beat the heat. Here is a recipe for nutritious summer cooler – aam panna, which not only tastes great but also provides some nutrients to the body.

  • 1 cup Peel and cut raw mango
  • 1/2 cup jaggery powder
  • 10 Saffron strings soaked in 1 tbsp water
  • 1/2 spoon cardamom powder
  • 1/4 spoon Black Salt


  • Boil the mangoes till they become soft from inside and the color of the skin turns pale.
  • When the mango is cool enough to handle, remove the peel and squeeze out the pulp.
  • In a large jar mix mango pump, jaggery powder, saffron water, cardamom powder, black salt with 2 cups of water.
  • Fill the glass with ice and pour the emerald over it.
